Porsche 911R
One of just 20 Factory built Light Weight cars built to run in the Prototype Class.
11899016R was the only 911R that was purposely built to be used as a Street car.
It was heavily modified at the Porsche Racing department before it was sold.
It was delivered New to Sonauto Porsche France on the 9th of April 1968.
The first owner was Les Danseurs from Bagnolet, France. This was one of the companies that French Racing driver and businessman Claude Ballot Lena had.
The Porsche factory Kardex for 11899016 was sourced in the Porsche AG archives together with some period documents detailing this unique transaction.
We learn these documents that the engine with number 508016 was removed from 11899016R and replaced with engine number 961770.(the Porsche factory did it)

On the 6th August 2016 the car was presented to the public at tne Saint Rafael Valescure Council d'Elegance.
The car was reunited with Porsche factory driver Gerard Larousse.
At this event, 11899016R was awarded with the trophy for the best Porsche.
The vin number and aluminum Vin plates are the original ones.
Engine type 901/22 No:961770
The extremely rare matching number engine was fully rebuilt and is fitted with the correct Weber 46IDA3 carburetors on the original Magnesium intake manifolds.
Twin plug ignition and Magnesium timing chain covers.
Very few of the type 901/22 magnesium engine case survive today and to actually have the matching numbers engine in a 911R is very rare.
